Here’s everything that we know (so far) about 17th Avenue’s newest development

To those who live in and around the area, or frequently head there for a night out – The Red Mile couldn’t possibly get any better… could it? Well, despite having a ton of restaurants, bars, and cafes already – Calgary’s Arlington Group is gearing up to unveil 17th Avenue’s newest building, The Fifth, a residential/commercial hybrid with 12,500 ft. of retail space.

Located in the heart of one of the inner city’s most vibrant communities, sitting beside (and across the street of) The Ship and Anchor and National 17th, The Fifth will have five stories, 52 “elegantly designed” units, will be totally dog friendly and most importantly – will have some incredibly tasty places to stop for a bite.

Featuring second and third locations of existing favourites like Amato Gelato and The Mash Pizza along with The Bro’Kin Yolk’s quick-service breakfast spot, Bro’s To Go, also grabbing a spot. On top of that, three new-to-Calgary joints like Burnin’ Bird Fried Chicken, Cinnaholic, and Nue Cocktail Bar will be calling The Fifth home.

Interested in checking one or all of them out? Well, start working up an appetite, Calgary, because it won’t be long until they’re cutting the giant ribbon (metaphorically, of course.)

Thanks to constant updates made on social media, we can confirm that they’ve begun putting taking names for their residential waiting list and are gearing up to open their retail spaces sometime this fall!
