Prefer to soak up every last ray this season? Do so at one of these Alberta waterparks – just don’t forget to wear sunscreen, fam. Mother Nature is not playing around this year.

Alright, Alberta, this one may not reopen until 2022, but it’s definitely worth keeping in your back pocket. Located in Sylvan Lake, this one isn’t your run-of-the-mill waterpark. It’s better described as an obstacle course but don’t let that deter you! This giant inflatable attraction is a TON of fun – so make sure you check it out when we can again!

Where: 5104 Lakeshore Drive Sylvan Lake, Alberta
Time: 11 am – 8 pm
Cost: $28
Distance from Calgary: 160 km
Distance from Edmonton: 299 km

With two waterslides, a spray park, hot tub, climbing wall, diving board and a community-sized pool, Vulcans summer outdoor waterpark is another small, but good summer spot. Especially if you’re from Calgary. It’s still a bit of a drive, but it’s close enough that it’s well worth the drive, after all, has anyone in history ever not had fun on a waterslide no matter the size?

Where: 516 Centre St, Vulcan
Time: Monday to Friday: 6:30 am – 8:30 pm | Saturday and Sunday: 12 pm – 7 pm
Cost: $6
