Wunderground

Earlier this year a unique, mushroom-centric coffee brand popped up in Seattle. And now Wunderground is making things permanent with its first cafe on Capitol Hill. They’re serving up all your favorite caffeinated drinks with the added benefit of the adaptogenic powers of mushrooms. Plus they have tasty food items like grain bowls, bone broth, pastries, and more.

Hours: Dailly 11 am-7 pm

Maiz

Maiz is a brand new spot from the owners of Mexican restaurant Sazon. At Maiz, they serve fresh tortillas and antojitos made from heirloom corn for a truly hot off-the-grill experience. And it’s right in the market so you can wander the area after enjoying your eats.

Where: 1914 Pike Place
Hours: Opens November 2nd

Indigo Cow

The nation’s first Hokkaido-style soft-serve spot has opened inside of Wallingford’s Yoroshiku. You can soon expect to see flavors like matcha, black sesame, yuzu, and always the classic Hokkaido milk flavor. But here’s the deal, due to demand, there are only 300 servings available daily so you might have to wait a bit to try.

The Wandering Goose

The beloved Capitol Hill establishment that served up some of Seattle’s favorite southern dishes has found a new home at the Tokeland Hotel. When you visit you’ll be able to nosh on your old faves as well as seasonal specialties that highlight the hidden coast of Tokeland. Some of the listed menu items include Eggs Benedict, Fried Rockfish Sandwich, Chicken Fried Pork Chop, and many other delicious items.

Hours: Breakfast & Lunch 8 am-2 pm, Supper 4 pm-8 pm

Kobuta & Ookami

One of Capitol Hill’s newest restaurants revolves around katsu-style dishes made with both meat and veggies. You can score various pork cuts, chicken, prawn, and even multiple styles like classic katsu, miso katsu, and katsu nabe which is a Japanese-Korean fusion dish served in a clay pot. It’s a great choice if you’re looking for some warming and delicious fall eats.
