If you’d told us this time last year that patio dining would become a major winter activity in Toronto, we would not have believed you. But here we are! It’s November and we’re looking forward to a week full of outdoor patio eats. There are tons of incredible restos and bars around the city that have pulled out all the stops on heated patios. Plus, we heard a rumour that temperatures could be in the teens this week! So there’s really no reason not to hit up one (or all) of these stellar spots. Here are 12 of the best heated patios in Toronto.
KING RUSTIC
You’ll eat like a king at this delicious heated patio. Stop by any day of the week for tasty menu items like their short ribs benny, stuffed portobello salad, or chicken parm. All their dishes are made from scratch in-house, so you know you’ll be getting optimal freshness. Yum!

SOFIA
This scrumptious Italian spot is a Yorkville classic. Hit up their heated patio to enjoy some of the best pasta in town. We recommend scarfing down a bowl of their agnolotti al tartufo. It comes with roasted mushrooms, ricotta, hazelnuts, and black truffle. Yeah, we’re drooling too. Pair it with a selection from their extensive wine list and you’ve got a great night on your hands.

BARO ROOFTOP
This rooftop patio was rocking year-round heating long before the pandemic became a thing, so they’ve had loads of time to perfect it. The vibe here is pretty much unbeatable, with loads of fresh greenery and bright airy space. Oh, and their menu’s pretty stellar too.

PAUPERS PUB
Sometimes all you need is a solid dose of pub food. That’s where this spot comes in handy. Stop by for burgers, fries, brews, and more. Plus, their patio is full of heated pods that are tailor-made to keep you warm. So BYOB (bring your own blanket) and have a grand old time.

So you can’t dine on the iconic rooftop of this spot at the moment, but you can hit up their heated and covered ground floor patio. It’s got all the great vibes you know and love, plus the delicious menu to match. Stop by here for an afternoon happy hour or an evening snack.

E11EVEN
A cozy dinner on E11even’s heated patio is simply unmatched. You can enjoy loads of delicious dishes paired with one of their fabulous signature cocktails. We recommend trying their sangria personal pitcher. It’s basically a pitcher of sangria that you don’t have to share.

BROADVIEW HOTEL ROOFTOP

This Toronto favourite is coming in clutch this season with a heated patio stacked with all the best drinks in town. Stop by to enjoy a cocktail (or several) along with some tasty bar-side snacks. The heated patio is perfect for a little socially distant social hour with all your closest quarantine pals.

You can’t go wrong with the enclosed rooftop terrace at Gusto 101. This spot operates their heated patio year-round, with incredible vibes and even better menu items. You can hit them up for pretty much any meal of the day, but we suggest stopping by for Sunday brunch. They have unbelievable options available like their goat cheese frittata or their ricotta berry pancakes.

LUCIA
This gorgeous spot is serving up major ski lodge vibes this winter. Their patio is equipped with wooden accents, fire pits, and tons of blankets. Stop by for delicious eats including all the Italian classics. Plus, they have a wine list with over 50 labels so you know you’re in for a treat.

CLUNY BISTRO & BOULANGERIE
You classy folks can enjoy a delicious French bistro experience with a trip to this heated patio in the Distillery District. They have amazing Parisian-inspired dishes, classic café items, and an ambiance like no other. If you don’t believe us, you’ll just have to stop by and see for yourself. Trust us, you won’t regret it.
