Baseball season is back, baby! It’s shaping up to be a little….okay, a lot different this year, but the spirit of baseball still lives on. This time, from the comfort of our own homes! So, while the season may look, smell, and sound a bit different, one thing we don’t have to compromise on is the taste. On July 24th, Heinz Ketchup is bringing Toronto Blue Jays™ fans a taste of the iconic gameday experience with Heinz Game Day Dogs. Yep, authentic hot dogs that you know and love (and devour shamelessly), delivered right to you from DoorDash in the GTA.

Heinz knows the importance of having a well-rounded baseball experience. Because seriously, if you’re not watching baseball while chowing down on a hot dog with all the fixin’s, does it even count? The answer is no, obviously. So thanks to Heinz, on July 24th you’ll be able to bring the ball game right to your seat at home.

What’s more? We all know that Toronto Blue Jays™ fans love to flag down the infamous hot dog vendor at the stadium – it’s a quintessential ballgame experience. But since this can’t happen this year, on Opening Day, Heinz is going above and beyond by sending beloved Rogers Centre stadium vendors to deliver hot dogs to select MLB superfans stuck at home, so they can enjoy their game day dog while they watch their favourite players hit home runs.

The best part about all of this (besides the hot dogs, of course)? All proceeds from the Heinz Game Day Dogs will go to the Jays Care Foundation™ to help to provide meals for families living in Toronto Community Housing. Also, Heinz and DoorDash will be covering all service and delivery fees, so you’ve only gotta pay for the Game Day Dog plus tax! If that isn’t a win, we aren’t sure what is.

So, how does it work? Fans (or just dog-lovers) can preorder their Heinz Game Day Dogs on July 22nd to guarantee your dog, or on July 24th. The dogs will be $12 for two or four for $24 and are lovingly made, wrapped in a bun, and then sealed inside traditional stadium warming foil and served with all your fave Heinz condiments. And since enjoying game day at the park isn’t going to happen anytime soon, you can surprise your favourite superfans with a Game Day Dog of their own! Just because we are apart doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate game day together.

You can even complete your at-home baseball experience by listening to all the stadium sounds you would only expect. With Heinz’s Stadium Sounds Playlist on Spotify, you can listen to it all from cheers to chants, to the stadium atmosphere. Oh, and don’t forget to show how much you enjoy your Heinz Game Day Dog on IG by using the hashtag #HeinzGameDayDogs and tagging @heinz_ca!

So remember to either pre-order through DoorDash’s desktop experience starting July 22, and via DoorDash mobile apps starting July 23 at 5 pm, or just snag your Heinz Game Day Dog on Opening Day.
