Have you ever wondered why Fall activities are so fun? Our theory is that it’s everyone’s last chance to enjoy the good weather… but also… you really can’t beat the aesthetic, can you?

If you’re a pumpkin-spice, scented candle, spooky movie-loving fall mascot, then we have the perfect activity for you to check out in Seattle this weekend – and it’s free!

The 17th annual Suncadia Fall Harvest Festival at the Historic Nelson Farm is back, and this year they have more activities than ever.

This annual festival is sponsored by the Suncadia Fund for Community Enhancement, and there’s no better way to get out and celebrate everything fall has to offer. Enjoy the rustic splendour of fall on a historic farm complete with pumpkin patches, fresh apple cider, activities for all ages, and a beer garden to boot!

Did we mention that most of the festival is completely free?

The Harvest Festival has something for everyone, with tons of games, family activities, live music, and tasty food. Bring your friends and enjoy a decadent variety of cold craft beer and wine at the beer garden that spans the entire Nelson Farm. What could be better than sipping a cold one while taking in the beautiful fall scenery?

Of course, it wouldn’t be a Suncadia event without a charity element. There will be lots of opportunities to donate to local organizations at the festival, such as the Cle Elum Skate Park Revival and the Warm Coat Drive put on by the Kittitas County Fire Departments.

Experience exciting activities like axe throwing, stroll through the pumpkin patch, or try out the new cider press, where you can make your very own cider! There will also be live entertainment, country line dancing, photo-op locations, and signature fall food and cocktails at the Barnyard.

If you plan on bringing your little ones, they can burn some energy at the on-site bouncy houses and foam parties! If they like big wheelers, there will be a dedicated Touch-A-Truck area where they can check out big rigs, fire trucks, and tractors. This area is a donation-entry option, with 100% of the proceeds going towards the Cle Elum Skate Park Revival project to complete their community skate park.

There’s also the Meadow which is the place to be for all the traditional festival fun. Check out the Harvest Maze, the Hay Pyramid, pony and wagon rides, and Suncadia Archery.

Finally, for those looking to flex their creative side, be sure to visit the Harvest Market and Creatives. There are art stations from The Works and West Seattle Art Nest, hair braiding and tinsel from Lucky Locks, and face painting by Allison and Sundog Henna. The Harvest Market features one-of-a-kind items from local makers and artisans from across the Pacific NorthWest.

There’s so much to do, it’s virtually impossible to get bored! Stop by and celebrate the fall season with beer, activities, pumpkin spice, and everything nice.
