The month we’ve all been waiting for is here, ghouls! After weeks of anticipation, October is in full swing – and we want you to make the most of it. Not sure where to go or what to do in the hopes of getting a spook or two in? We’ve got you! Here are 7 Halloween parties and events happening in Edmonton this year. Enjoy!

This month, hit up Fort Edmonton and check out their super creepy attractions including ‘Under the Big Top’, 3 AM Dead Of Night, or – our favourite ‘Blood Harvest’, a farmland haunted house that will give you those “Children Of the Corn’ brand heebie-jeebies. It’s going to be a terrifyingly good time!

FRIGHT NIGHT – GALAXY LAND 

What’s scarier than the Mindbender coaster? The Mindbender coaster in dim lighting. This October check out Fright Night at Galaxy Land. During this spooky event, they’ll have louder music, haunted houses, darker lights, thrilling illusions and of course – rides. Check it out!

EDMONTON GHOST TOUR

Love true crime and real-life haunts? This month, the U Of A in Edmonton will be holding a series of tours showcasing the dark and sinister history of the city. Check out the link above for more information and enjoy!

RUTHERFORD MANOR HAUNT

Prepare yourself, Edmonton! The multi-award-winning Rutherford Manor Haunt is back with even more “thrills, chills, guts and gore!” This season, join thousands in getting spooked silly and supporting the Food Bank and Second Chance Animal Rescue by donating at the door – but beware. This one is not for the faint of heart.

FRIGHT NIGHTS AT CREEPY HOLLOW

Creepy Hollow is one of the most unique, most underrated spots in the province. Unlike anything else you’ll see in Alberta, this haunted experience acts as a campsite, haunted house hybrid with creepy touches throughout the entire park. Explore spooky houses, participate in movie nights and play games with other guests during your stay! It’s essentially a Halloween-themed summer camp for adults.

SPRUCE RIDGE SCARE

There’s nothing more terrifying than an at-home haunt! This month, check out Spruce Ridge Scare, a family-owned and built Haunted House located at #287 Spruce Ridge rd. in Spruce Grove! The family charges either $5 a person, or one non-perishable food donation per person (for the parkland food bank).

When: October 7th to 9th, 14th to 16th, 21st to 23rd, and 28th to 31st, 2022

Cost: $5 or a non-perishable food item

SCREAM MUSIC FESTIVAL

Here for another year of music, costume craziness and deep bass, Scream Edmonton will once again, hit the Expo Centre and you won’t want to miss it. Known for its energetic lineup of musicians, Scream was cancelled in 2021 due to the pandemic – but they’re back and better than ever.
