Brace yourself for a gut-wrenching adventure— well, maybe not as terrifying as it sounds. Your next outdoor adventure is at The Gut Conservation Area, home to lookout points and a stairway that leads to a 30-metre gorge. Here’s what to know.

You’ll find the conservation Area about two and a half hours east of Toronto. According to Crowe Valley Conservation, it is a 400-acre site located east of Apsley, Ontario.

The park is home to walking trails and even a lookout point for scenic views of the rushing river.

For an up close and personal view, there is a stairway that leads down to the gorge. Just make sure to watch your step as you venture down to the water.

The “Gut” itself is a large gorge that the Crowe River flows through for about 230 meters, according to the conservation area.

“The fissure that forms the gorge is over 30 meters high and varies from five to ten meters in width,” it adds.

It is a sight to see and an adventure calling your name.
