Although the train station no longer operates, it has been carefully preserved and repurposed with the help of the community. Today, it serves as the Town of Bancroft’s Municipal office and houses the Mineral Museum, an addition that showcases the area’s rich geological heritage.

As for its natural scenic sights, Bancroft is home to walking trails – one of which leads to a stunning waterfall.

Just a short drive away from the town’s core is High Falls Dam. It offers a tranquil yet awe-inspiring experience.

The journey begins on Highway 62 North, where a turn onto ‘Y’ Road leads to the High Falls Trail. After crossing South Baptiste Lake Road, you’ll find the trail.

It reveals the breathtaking sight of water cascading over rugged rocks before calming into a serene bay, according to the town’s site.
