There’s nothing we love more than loading up our plates with a way-too-big helping of pasta. We’ll let you in on a secret, the unofficial motto of Curiocity Toronto is Carbs Make the World Go Round. Well, not really. But we all believe it. Pasta-la-vista, baby! Check out one of these incredible pasta dishes in Toronto. Ugh, think of all the pasta-bilities! Yes, more pasta puns to come.

Here are 6 of the best plates of pasta you can find in Toronto.

ARDO RESTAURANT

This next restaurant has pasta so good, it’s been featured in Italian food festivals. Yes, that’s a thing. We didn’t know either. Pictured here is a Torchietti Con Polipo- or in English, an octopus ragu. This dish is definitely the fanciest on our list. Once you put octopus in pasta there’s really no getting fancier. Completed with Norcellara olives and fresh red pepper, this one is decidedly hard to beat!

TRATTORIA NERVOSA

If you’re as big of a fan of goat cheese as we are, try the ultimate G.O.A.T. (Greatest of All Time) of pastas. Tattoria Nervosa’s Capellini is made of tomato sauce, sundried tomatoes, goat cheese, and basil. It’s a combination for the ages.

Head over to the west end if you’re in the mood for a pasta classic. Spaghetti, of course! Be sure to ask them to top it with one of their famous giant meatballs! These meatballs have a more devoted fan club than any other meatballs we know.

GUSTO 101

There are two types of people in the world: those who like mushrooms and those who are wrong. Sorry not sorry. It had to be said. We can’t make a list of pastas without including one the ultimate indulgence. Yeah, you already know, it’s truffle. Duh! The Mafalde ai Funghi comes complete with portobello, porcini, oyster mushrooms, and a truffle cream sauce.

CIBO WINE BAR

This next spot has all the pasta dishes you could imagine! Our favourite is the gnocchi. Made fresh in house, this scrumptious plate comes in two options: with a tomato sauce or a cream sauce. Whichever you’re feeling, you can’t go wrong! Plus, they’ve got a wine list that goes on for days, so you’ll definitely find that perfect pairing.

EATALY

eataly

We can’t talk about pastas in Toronto and without mentioning Eataly! This newly opened Italian marketplace holds multiple restaurants, with more pasta options than we could eat in a week. Actually, try us. Our personal favourite is the Tagliatelle at La Pizza e La Pasta. They actually post their recipes online sometimes, so you can perfect that cacio e pepe at home.
