Planning a date can be hard work and pretty expensive these days. So we thought we might as well give you some ideas on what’s fun to do around the city for cheap. Whether you’re looking to save money or just do something new, we’ve got you covered. Here are 10 awesome free or cheap dates in Seattle.
Discovery Park is one of Seattle’s best parks. It also just so happens to be the perfect place to have a picnic. After all, there are tons of open fields and some pretty scenic spots that you and your date can enjoy. So grab your food and a blanket and head over to Discovery Park.

If you’re into art and want to get outdoors, the Olympic Sculpture Park is a great and free way to do both of those things. And you can spend as much or as little time as you’d like here. There’s tons of art to see and you can even head down to the waterfront.

Sure it’s simple but grabbing a cup of joe with someone is a great way to get to know each other. Take your coffee to go and you can get to know each other over Seattle’s most iconic beverage and a beautiful walk. The Center for Wooden Boats has a pretty amazing program that allows you to rent a boat for free! Now, this boat is a wooden rowboat but what’s more romantic than taking a little row on Lake Union? Check out the houseboats, see some wildlife and enjoy the water.

For those of you that love art and architecture, this is a great and free way to see the city and get to know someone. You can use our list linked above to check out some of the coolest buildings scattered around the city. We’re sure you can also snap a few cute pics along the way.
We don’t know about you guys but we always love a trip to Pike Place. It’s a timeless piece of Seattle history and a great spot to pick up some delicious ingredients to make dinner with your date or SO. Plus you can wander downtown afterward.

Pretty much everyone loves a burger from Dick’s Drive-In. So you can forget expensive dining, instead grab a burger, fries, and milkshake from this classic Seattle spot. Both you and your date will be glad you did.

Every person who lives in Seattle needs to do this at least once. And you might as well bring your date along for the experience. After all, Kerry Park is one of the city’s best viewpoints and we bet you’ll both love it.

Seattle’s international district has some of the best eats in town and what’s even better is that most of them are very affordable. And while everything is running on a mostly to-go format, it’s a perfect time. We recommend stopping by Uwajimaya, Saigon Deli, and Kau Kau BBQ to start.
