One of Canada’s first microbreweries has a new taproom in Vancouver

Who’s ready to soak up the last bit of summer? Granville Island Brewing has been hard at work revamping its beloved Vancouver patio and taproom, and you can finally check it out for yourself!

As one of the first microbreweries to emerge in Canada in 1984, the local taproom has always had a special place in the hearts of Vancouverites, who have spent many a summer day (and night) on Granville Island, sipping a cold, refreshing brew.

In addition to pouring award-winning craft beers, the historic brewery will continue to be a staple of Granville Island hangouts. Its newly unveiled taproom can now accommodate up to 200 people, with a large, dog-friendly patio that’s perfect for late-summer gatherings of all sizes.

The taproom will now have extended hours to offer even more nightlife experiences on the Island, including live music.

“As we unveil this incredible new space, we’re extremely excited to offer our community a lot less queuing, a wider selection of quality brews, and regular entertainment,” says Brendan Dalton, Brand Manager of Granville Island Brewing.

Visitors can enjoy a brand-new food menu filled with everything from banh mi sandwiches and brew burgers to hand-stretched pizzas and salads – with options for every dietary preference.

There will also be an even wider selection of brews than before, with 16 carefully paired, unique pours available on tap.

What’s more, a new “Brewmaster’s Table” will soon be available with unique beer and dining experiences for those who book in advance. So stay tuned for more info on that!

So there you have it, craft beer lovers. Summer’s not over yet – and neither is patio season!
