There have been plenty of food trends that have caught the public’s eye over the past few years, but one that is coming to Alberta is right at the top of our list of ‘must-try’ eats. Fuwa Fuwa, a chain that specializes in wildly fluffy Japanese soufflé pancakes, is planning to open locations in both Calgary and Edmonton before the end of the year.

Fuwa Fuwa currently has multiple locations in Toronto, where customers have been going bananas over just how tasty these fluffy pancakes are.

As mentioned on the Fuwa Fuwa website, these Japanese pancakes are traditionally served after weddings to ‘symbolize good fortune’. We can’t verify that ability, but we can say that one bite of these pancakes will brighten your day.

The website currently states that Fuwa Fuwa will be opening a Calgary location in November 2021, but no address or other information is immediately available. The Edmonton location is also slated for November of this year, so no matter where you are in the province we hope your tastebuds are ready.

Curiocity has reached out for more information and will update you as it comes in.
