A rare 1929 Frederick Anhalt condo on North Capitol Hill just hit the market

We know that the price of Seattle homes has many of you biting your nails, especially with the required income to even think about buying one. But this rare Frederick Anhalt condo in Capitol Hill’s Belmont Court is a great reminder that there are still gems out there that aren’t in the multi-millions. Let’s check it out.

Frederick Anhalt built some of Seattle’s most “noteworthy apartment buildings in the years immediately surrounding the Great Depression.” The apartments Anhalt created referenced aspects of earlier European architecture with Tudor elements and volumes evident in several of his creations. Especially when it comes to Belmont Court.

The unit for sale within the stunning 1929 building is just as unique as the facade. It’s 2 bedrooms, and 1 bathroom with just over 1,000 square feet of space. The interior has custom plaster walls, arched doorways, beautiful exposed wood beams, leaded glass windows, and hardwood floors. It’s pretty much the heritage lover’s dream.

It’s worth noting that the kitchen was thoroughly rebuilt now boasting new plumbing, and wiring, as well as quartz counters, and stainless appliances. There’s also lots of storage in the condo as well as in a downstairs storage locker.
