Four BC cities landed on the list of most expensive places to rent in Canada

Vancouver just hit another top 10 list and it’s for something you’d definitely expect. That something is Canada’s 2020 1 bedroom median price ranking. In fact, 4 BC cities actually made the list. But once again, we can’t say we’re too surprised.

PadMapper is rolling out its 2020 studies and of course, rent has been an interesting thing this year. But overall, a good chunk of the cities on the list experienced a slight drop in monthly rent. Now when we say slight, we mean slight. Because Vancouver topped out at the most expensive 1 bedroom rent with $1,950 median monthly price.

And just $50 under us, Toronto came in second. After that Burnaby, Victoria, Kelowna, Barrie, Oshawa, Ottawa, Montreal, and Kitchener filled out the rest of the slots. So clearly, BC is not the place to live if you’re trying to save a few bucks. And it’s been speculated that any drop in rent will increase again in 2021.
