There’s a Wild West-themed resort outside of Alberta where you can sleep in a jail cell

Have a valid passport? If you’re up for a drive, there’s a Wild West-themed resort just outside of Alberta where you can break in your new cowboy boots before next year’s Calgary Stampede.

Located seven minutes from Columbia Falls, Montana, Fort Williamson is a vacation destination unlike anything else in the area.

Surrounded by towering trees and mountain views, guests are encouraged to stay in one of five unique cabins; the Sheriff’s office, a jail cell, a trading post, an Inn, and “Rose’s Place” – a honeymoon suite with a heart-shaped hot tub.

Want to check it out? In addition to the fun decor, each cabin has everything you’ll need for a comfortable vacation.

With running water, a cozy bed, and your own kitchenette, you’ll feel right at home – plus there’s a ton to do and see within a reasonable distance.

Not only can you wander the grounds of the resort, but you can also explore nearby hiking trails, waterfalls and the fresh air at Glacier National Park.

To book a cabin for you and your friends or family, check out their website below – but hurry!

We’ve got a long hot summer ahead and hotels in Montana filling up fast, these are bound to fill up sooner rather than later.

Happy booking and enjoy.
