Vancouver is getting a stunning flower show and display soon & here’s when

If you love spring flower festivals and shows, we’ve got an exciting event to share. The Vancouver Park Board has partnered with Fleurs de Villes to present a stunning floral display at VanDusen Botanical Garden this June, as part of the flower show’s global tour. So if you’re looking for an opportune time to appreciate some stunning flowers and snap a few photos, read on.

This is an opportunity to celebrate the culture, people and heritage of destinations around the world “en fleurs,” according to the City of Vancouver.

“As admirers of Fleurs de Villes, we are absolutely thrilled to be able to work together to host the upcoming show at VanDusen Botanical Garden,” explains Ema Tanaka, Garden Director at VanDusen Botanical Garden, Bloedel Conservatory, Sunset Nursery and QE Park. “This beautiful showcase of floral artistry and craftsmanship is a natural fit for the Garden, and we can’t wait for visitors to experience these stunning displays integrated into the backdrop of our curated collections.”

VanDusen activities

Visitors at VanDusen can expect to see fresh floral mannequins and spectacular installations, inspired by timeless traditions from around the world. Hence the tour’s name – VOYAGE.

The floral trail will begin with a beautiful archway and wind its way through the garden pathways.  Fresh floral installations will be crafted by the city’s top floral artists. As well, there will be a fun children’s discovery trail, and live entertainment to check out.

In terms of refreshments, guests can sip on both alcoholic and non-alcoholic floral beverages at the on-site pop-up cafe. And for a bite to eat, guests can purchase a picnic or floral high tea at Truffles’ Garden Cafe.

Other locations

And if you’re looking for another VOYAGE-inspired installation, you can pop on over to the nearby Queen Elizabeth Park at Bloedel Conservatory for a weekend flower market, or check out the Vancouver Marriott Pinnacle Downtown’s satellite pop-up of fresh florals. The latter will include a special cocktail menu inspired by the seven wonders of the world.

Tickets to the show are priced at $26 per person ($24 for VBGA members) and $10 for children, and are on sale now online.

Note that tickets also include admission to the VanDusen Botanical Garden.

So mark your calendars, and we’ll see you there, Vancouver!
