Ramadan Kareem, Toronto! A beloved Toronto event, marking Ramadan is coming back to Toronto this spring, celebrating this beautifully diverse city.

Enjoy an evening of food, fun, and fireworks, coinciding with Ramadan, at Fast in the 6. “It’s time Toronto! It’s time to unite. It’s time for a fresh spring start and it’s time to celebrate,” stated the event. “Fast in the 6 will once again be able to celebrate our motto: Diversity, Unity and Prosperity towards a shared bright tomorrow for all of us.”

On April 14th, stop by Nathan Phillips Square “to celebrate the diversity and inclusion that makes Toronto so vibrant and special.”

“In the spirit of Ramadan, we invite Torontonians and visitors alike to come together and participate in the simple but powerful act of sharing a meal,” share organizers. The event will start at 7 PM  with remarks half an hour later, then with the sunset breaking of the fast and entertainment taking place at 8:02 PM.

Juno-nominated, Somali-born, Toronto-raised R&B singer Amaal will be performing at the event, including Toronto-born, West Indian, rapper/songwriter Raz Hyder.

A portion of proceeds from the event will go to Second Harvest.

This will be the 6th year the event takes place, after being founded in 2017 by Toronto philanthropists, Lisa and Dany Assaf.
