An iconic Vancouver restaurant just announced it is opening downtown Toronto this year. Glowbal Restaurant Group, which is marking its 20th anniversary, said a new Black+Blue location is set to open in the heart of Toronto’s Financial District. The new restaurant is aiming to open this fall.
Voted as one of the top 10% of restaurants worldwide, Black+Blue is a classic steakhouse and has become a staple in Vancouver since its opening.
And for the new location, culinary TV fans may be excited to hear that chef Dennis Peckham will work on the development of culinary operations at Black+Blue in Toronto. Peckham is the previous winner of The Food Network Canada’s Chopped Canada back in 2016 and was a competitor on Top Chef Canada in ’19.

“What better way to mark our 20th anniversary than by returning home to Toronto where it all started. After 20 years, we’ve come full circle” says Glowbal Restaurant Group CEO Emad Yacoub. “We’re also excited to be able to add even more talent to an already all-star back-of-house team that works across all our restaurants.”
Glowbal Group have several established Vancouver restaurants that include Glowbal (photographed in main image), Coast, Italian Kitchen, Five Sails, and Black+Blue.
According to the Group, the restaurant in Toronto will be at the Old Toronto Stock Exchange Building, and it will be two levels with inside 8,800 sq ft and a garden patio of 2,000 sq ft.
We’re definitely getting excited for this one!
