This “Foodie’s Dream” Culinary Journey is coming to the GTA this May & here’s what to know

One of the greatest pleasures of living in Toronto is that you don’t have to go globe trotting to explore the finest foods around the world. The city’s ginormous foodscape is enough to last us a lifetime. And the one food event that takes the local culinary experience to a whole new level is returning to Toronto this May. We are talking, of course, about Estrella Damm Culinary Journey.

Oh yes, the epic local food experience is back for its second year with a whole bunch of soul-soothing delights.

For the uninitiated, Estrella Damm Culinary Journey is a month-long food event that sees top Toronto restaurants crafting special menu items to pair with the iconic beer of Barcelona, Estrella Damm.

For its 2023 edition, the culinary journey has 25 participating restaurants. Each of these will feature prix-fixe menus, unique delicacies and special pricing for May. Meaning, the city will turn into a gigantic foodie paradise starting Monday, May 1st to Wednesday, May 31st, 2023.

The popular beer brand first started this foodie extravaganza to support local restaurants. And give locals a chance to dig into the culinary masterpieces curated by the city’s best and brightest chefs. But the journey was also a way to prove how diverse food pairings can be a massive hit when paired with a cold Estrella Damm beer.

Honestly, we never doubted that last one. The beer is, after all, known for its impeccable quality and incredible taste. Interestingly, the beer is still made with the OG recipe from 1876 using 100% natural ingredients – only barley malt, rice, and hops. In fact, the brand works directly with local Mediterranean farmers to ensure the quality of the ingredients.

Anyway, Estrella Damm Culinary Journey is set to wow us all over again. And we, for one, can’t wait for it.
