Erin, Ontario may be small but it sure packs a punch! This town located in Wellington County is a great place to stop for a day trip boasting scenic trails and adorable spots such as the town’s iconic lavender farm.

According to the Erin Tourism page, “Whether you’re seeking outdoor thrills or discovering hidden gems around town, Erin has something for everyone to enjoy.”
The trails here are a must-visit including The Elora Cataract Trail.
This trail passes right through the Town of Erin along the old railway bed that was originally the Credit Valley Railway from 1879!
If history interests you then you also need to take a stroll down the Downtown Erin Heritage Trail! A loop through the town, passing by stops that shape Erin’s history.
Some of the stops you can expect include the Erin Grist Mill Built in 1849 and some of the town’s original Victorian homes “featuring a two-tone brick design popular in the late 1800s, with distinctive stone or brick lintels above the windows and decorative wood trim accents in the roof peaks.”

When in Erin, Ontario you also have to stop by the Erin Acres Lavender Farm.
This popular farm has rows upon rows of lavender where you can stroll around, take photos and even pick your own lavender!
