Quick trip to Dubai, anyone? Emirates has announced that it will be launching daily flights between Toronto and Dubai starting on April 20th, 2023.

The daily flights are the result of a “breakthrough expanded air transport agreement between the United Arab Emirates and Canada,” said Emirates in a press release.

Emirates will offer over 6,800 seats per week on the popular Toronto-UAE route, and will increase its capacity by 40% to accommodate the demand.

“The Dubai-Toronto route is highly popular amongst customers from India, UAE, Bangladesh, Iran, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Sri Lanka.”

You may have seen the Emirates signature A380 plane on social media or experienced it for yourself.

The double-decker Airbus accommodates a whopping 491 passengers per flight across Economy Class, Business Class, and First Class.

First Class passengers are practically treated like royalty with their own “private hotel room in the sky,” featuring a shower spa and lounge bar access, according to the Emirates’ website.

The decision is fuelled by the “huge demand” for daily service between the two hubs of Toronto and Dubai, and will boost tourism and trade for both countries.

The airline recently hosted a hiring fair for cabin crew in Toronto. If you missed the event but still want to apply, you can do so online.

Several airlines, including Air Canada, are ramping up their service in preparation for a busy summer travel season ahead.

If you want to cross Dubai off of your travel bucket list, you will have many more opportunities to do so as of this month.
