Grab your dirndls! Western Canada’s largest Oktoberfest celebration is coming to Edmonton

Dust off your dirndls and lederhosen and grab your favourite stein! The largest Oktoberfest celebration in Western Canada is coming to the heart of Edmonton’s entertainment district this month and tickets are on sale now.

Suit up and head to ICE District to experience this authentic European experience. Edmonton’s largest Oktoberfest celebration starts on Friday, September 22nd, and will continue throughout the last two weekends of September. Guests will get to enjoy delicious food, live music and entertainment, local brews and more.

What to expect

Picture this: a 22,000 square foot beer tent in the heart of the Ice District will be transformed into a Bavarian wonderland. It’s like Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory, but with beer and bratwurst – and the golden tickets are only $25.00.

Get ready to raise your beer-filled stein in the sky and sing along to traditional Bavarian tunes. You can also bring the family along for some fun activities and games, or tickle your tastebuds with some German cuisine and local brews.

Whats on the menu

Did someone say pretzels? Alongside these irresistible German pastries, you’ll get to enjoy authentic Bavarian cuisine from a variety of local vendors. Ie. sausages, sauerkraut and strudel as far as the eye can see – a foodie’s dream come true!

As for bevys, guests can expect a familiar selection of brews from their favourite local Alberta Breweries, including Wild Rose and Blindman Brewing. Plus, guests can take home a specially designed stein as a souvenir!
