It’s a double dose of festival fun! For the first time ever, two major Edmonton festivals will be joining forces next month, which means even more excitement for you. What’s more, they’re bringing some seriously different experiences to the table.

First up is The Works Art & Design Festival, which bills itself as ‘North America’s largest outdoor festival dedicated to visual art’. Starting on July 8th, artists from Edmonton and all around the world will be showcasing murals, large scale installations, performers and more for anyone who wants to check it out.

But, as a whole other side of the setup, the Edmonton International Street Performers Festival will be joining the action. For years StreetFest has attracted global talent to transform a public area into a 3-ring circus, with a wonderful mix of spectacle, music and comedy. Feeling extra involved? Like The Works, visitors can also check out workshops to begin (or continue) their own street performer journey.

Naturally, the fests needed a seriously big venue to accomodate all the action. So, they’ll be setting up at Churchill Square in downtown Edmonton, which is the perfect fit. The combined festivals will run from July 8th to 17th, and like we said, they’re free to check out!
