We’re getting towards this end of the month, and you know what that means! Time to check out the best concerts coming to Edmonton this July. We’ll admit it’s a real mixed bag, with both individual shows and festivals in the lineup. Don’t worry though, because we’re showcasing a little bit of both for your convenience. No point in restricting the options, you know?

Here are the best concerts coming to Edmonton this July.

SHAWN MENDES

One of the biggest names of the month is also the first up! Superstar Shawn Mendes will be playing at Rogers Place, with a little support from Dermot Kennedy as the opening act.

When: July 5th
Where: 10220 104 Avenue NW
Cost: $80+

JP SAXE

This artist rose to international fame with his song “If the World Was Ending” (which got nominated for a Grammy Award), and has been hard at work ever since.

When: July 6th
Where: 6107 104 Street NW
Cost: $26+

ADEKUNLE GOLD

Are you a fan of Drake’s latest album? Check out this Nigerian artist who has got a beautiful voice and some dance-heavy beats to go alongside it.

When: July 8th
Where: 6240 99 Street NW
Cost: $49.93+

THE ZOMBIES

To celebrate their Hall of Fame induction, The Zombies are going on tour! This band is arguably the birth of psych rock, and is absolutely a bucket-list name for anyone who is into the genre.

When: July 11th
Where: 5 St. Anne Street, St. Albert
Cost: $69+

TASH SULTANA

Speaking of a little bit of psych-style music, Tash Sultana is among the lineup of Edmonton concerts this July! Relax and settle into summer with her soulful style.

When: July 12th
Where: 9797 Jasper Avenue
Cost: $45+

WILD RIVERS

Some more Canadian talent? Why not! Hailing from Toronto, this folk rock band is definitely on the list of sleeper picks next month. Plus, we just love any concert that goes down at The Starlite Room.

When: July 12th
Where: 10030 – 102 Street
Cost: $26+

JOHN FOGERTY

John Fogerty is easily one of the most enduring names (and voices) in rock music. Of course, he’s the guy behind CCR, but in the decades ever since he’s been seeing success after success with solo projects as well.

When: July 20th
Where: 10220 104 Avenue NW
Cost: $60+

KIESZA

Ok, festival time! When it comes to all the free concerts coming to K-Days this year, we think Kiesza might be the most fun and action packed. After all, who wouldn’t want to dance it out on a summer’s night?

When: July 27th
Where: 7515 – 118 Avenue
Cost: $15

ALANIS MORISSETTE

For something a little more, uh, serious, know that Alanis Morissette is also swinging by Edmonton next month. Sure, we might just associate her with sad commercials, but dang if she doesn’t have the voice of an angel.

When: July 28th
Where: 10220 104 Avenue NW
Cost: $68+

ERIC CHURCH

Next up on the festival list is Big Valley Jamboree! Our top pick for the weekend is Eric Church, but know that he’s flanked by Dallas Smith the day before and Tim McGraw the day after, so you really can’t go wrong here.

When: July 30th
Where: Camrose, Alberta
Cost: $130+

JELLYBEAN BENITEZ

One of the least known names, but undeniably coming from one of the most well known places. A top name in the DJ game for decades, Jellybean Benitez has the extremely rare claim as one of the folks who managed to play at Studio 54 in its heyday. If that’s not a reason to go to Disco in the Park, we don’t know what is.

When: July 30th and 31st
Where: 9999 Grierson Hill Road
Cost: $75+
