According to Ontario Parks, “Earl Rowe has two large beach areas; East Beach and Westbeach.” The beaches have plenty of room to host a day with the family but just note that no lifeguards are on duty at either spot.

The waters are perfect for canoeing, kayaking and paddle boating, with equipment available to rent from the park store.

Earl Rowe is ideal for those who love getting their steps in, boasting six different trials

The Lookout Trail is one of the park’s most popular, taking visitors on a four-kilometre loop up to a beautiful lookout platform overlooking Earl Rowe and the surrounding area. This trail includes a moderate climb so be sure to dress accordingly!

If you want to see it all, opt for the Rainbow Run Trail.

This trail is a loop that “encompasses the entire trail system around Earl Rowe. This shared-use trail allows for walking or biking to the pool, park store, Resource Centre or your favourite fishing spot. A portion of this trail includes a moderate incline to a lookout platform.”

Day passes for Earl Rowe Provincial Park start at $12.25. Make this your one-day getaway from the city!

Earl Rowe, we’ll see you soon.
