At long last, Drake’s Certified Lover Boy album is finally out and the reviews are rolling in. The album dropped just after midnight on all streaming platforms and it features 21 tracks, riddled with hidden messages in the lyrics that are making fans go absolutely wild. The rapper makes reference to his past as a Degrassi star, Toronto’s lockdown, Kawhi Leonard, and his Bridle Path mansion for starters, and some of his words are making people wonder who broke his heart.

The album was a long time coming and Drizzy has been low-key teasing it for well over a year, so the hype is most certainly real. Drake invited a ton of collaborators for the album, from Jay Z to Travis Scott to Lil Baby, and unexpected names like Paul McCartney and John Lennon, who are given co-writer credits on “Champagne Poetry.”

Fans are getting vocal on Twitter with their thoughts and opinions about every element of Certified Lover Boy, and some are just way too accurate.

This tweet seems to echo what many already seem to be saying about the new release — every track hearkens back to a different phase of his evolution as an artist.

These lyrics in particular from the song “Fair Trade” have people in their feels.

Jay Z is good fodder for some pretty hilarious memes, especially because he also appeared on Kanye’s new album Donda, which dropped just a few days ago. Needless to say, people are already comparing the two.

Although, not everyone is Team Drizzy in this debate. Some are convinced that Donda is still superior to Drake’s new album.

Overall, the album seems to have everything people love and have come to expect from Drizzy — powerful, caption-worthy lyrics accompanied by a beat you’ll want to play on repeat all day long.
