Disney made a 5-foot gingerbread replica of the iconic Home Alone house for the movie’s 30th anniversary

Can you believe that it’s been 30 years since Home Alone came out? Neither can we! Not because time flies, but because Macaulay Culkin almost looks exactly the same.

We’re not sure about you guys, but we’ll be celebrating the film’s anniversary by rewatching it for the millionth time. That’s really all that we can do, especially because nothing will ever compare to Disney’s way of honouring the classic.

This year, the production company actually made a 5-foot replica of the iconic house where Kevin McCallister laid his various booby traps back in 1990. Impressive, hey?

Well, that’s actually not even the craziest part. In true festive fashion, the house was actually built entirely with gingerbread and icing. That’s it!

According to the video above, it took artist, Michelle Wibowo, over 300 hours to put together and includes literally every little detail that you can imagine may have been on the set of the movie.

Suddenly that watch party we planned on having seems pretty insignificant. Wowza. Happy birthday, Home Alone, you filthy animal.
