One of Capitol Hill’s longest-running and most frequented establishments is returning after a several-month-long closure. Dick’s Drive-In closed for the first time since 1954, on December 13th, 2021 for some much-needed upgrades. Here’s when you can snag your favorite burgers again.

Some of the listed improvements that the Capitol Hill location was set to receive included “new plumbing, electrical, built-in coolers, equipment, etc.” As most of the repairs were internal and behind the scenes, things are pretty much the same on the outside. That’s great news as it’s one of the last heritage buildings with character on that stretch of Broadway.

Mark your calendars for June 23rd because that’s when this iconic burger joint is returning to the hill.

Of course, if you can’t wait until next week you can always visit one of the several other locations located around the city. That being said, we’ll be happy to have this staple back in the neighborhood.

Psst right now if you retweet the reopening announcement you could win $20 in gift certificates. Until reopening you can learn more at the Dick’s Drive-In website. Enjoy!
