With street hockey, light installations, ice sculptures and cultural stories, the Deep Freeze “forest” will showcase the Ukrainian, French Canadian, Franco-African, Indigenous (Métis, Inuit, Cree), Latin American and Asian traditions and people that shaped the Alberta Avenue District.

“The magic of Deep Freeze Festival is casting a spell on winter this January 20 and 21, 2024!” they explain.


“Step into Alberta Avenue District for Deep Freeze Under the Toadstools, where looms a mystical creature, vivid blooms, bright-hued mushrooms, and woodland animals—all hand sculpted by our world-renowned ice, balloon, and lantern artists.”

From food and live performances to music and art, this event is fun, Earthy and delicious – all good reasons to get out of the house!
