Dave’s Hot Chicken, aka that fried chicken spot Drake happens to be part owner of, is opening a new location in Toronto.

The popular American fast food chain turned Toronto favourite, came into the scene in 2021, having opened its first location in the city’s Parkdale neighbourhood.

Now with three locations in the city and expansion plans for B.C. and Alberta, the chain marks its fourth Toronto location with an opening near Yonge-Dundas Square.

If you’ve walked up Yonge Street towards College Street, you may have recently noticed a big red sign with the words “COMING SOON” in bold. According to an image submitted to Curiocity, Dave’s Hot Chicken is taking over a previous 7/11 location, right at the intersection of Yonge and Gould Street.

If you know the area, it’s a great location considering Toronto Metropolitan University students will have these eats readily available come lunchtime.

Per the image, construction is still underway and an opening timeline is unknown at the moment.

Curiocity has reached out to Dave’s Hot Chicken and we’ll be sure to update this story once we hear back.
