Dairy Queen Canada is launching Blizzard blind boxes with five plushies to collect

Dairy Queen Canada is tapping into the blind box trend this year, as it’s releasing its own line of collectibles inspired by its most popular treat.

On Monday, Sept. 28, DQ Canada will be introducing Mystery Blizzard Buddies, a limited-edition blind box collection with plushie keychain surprises.

These plush keychains are modelled after the fan-favourite Blizzard Treat, and guests will be able to get one of five characters: Flip, Blizabeth, Blenda, Brrrnie, and the rare Goldie.

All five of these Blizzard Buddies offer a surprise reveal, meaning you won’t know which character you’ve received until you unwrap it.

Rare golden plushies, also known as Goldie, will be hiding across Canada in these packages too. If found, guests will get the chance to win free Dairy Queen treats for a year (subject to the official contest rules).

Each plush will be available for $6, while supplies last. You can get them at participating locations across Canada starting next week.

In addition to these plushies dropping on Monday, DQ Canada’s Halloween-inspired Spellbound Series will be dropping at the same time. This includes drinks like the Bubble Brew DQ Sparkler (a blood orange lemonade-inspired sparkling drink with cold foam) and the Enchanted Oreo Blizzard Treat (Oreo blended with ube and DQ soft serve).

If you find yourself in a DQ Canada next week, keep an eye out for these new Blizzard Buddies and spooky treats. And who knows, maybe Goldie will be right under your nose.
