The YEG Yule Book Flood returns for its second year in Edmonton, bringing treats like hot chocolate, community giveaways, and plenty of winter festivities to enjoy.
This November, literature lovers will get to enjoy the YEG Yule Book Flood, a huge winter celebration involving a number of bookstores all across Edmonton. Visitors are welcome to check out the participating locations for an evening full of bookish comfort, including treats, giveaways, and other festivities to enjoy.
According to Paper Birch Books, this event is inspired by Jólabókaflóðið, an Icelandic term that refers to the annual release, purchase, and gifting of new books in the months prior to Christmas. The tradition continues through Edmonton’s book flood, bringing warmth and coziness to the upcoming winter months through the art of literature.

According to Paper Birch Books’ website, this year’s event will feature treats, giveaways, hot chocolate, and other festivities for guests to enjoy all evening long.
