The warm and sunny outdoors are literally the best part of summer. And this summer, the outdoors is going to be even more enticing. Because the historic community of Currie is organizing a massive weekly market, eponymously named the Currie Market. And it’s free to attend.
The market will take over The Parade Square from noon to 8 PM every Saturday in July and August. Meaning every Saturday this summer, the Parade Square transforms into a vibrant hub of local talent, delicious food, unique vendors, and more.

This modern artisan market will feature a ton of local vendors. You can get your hands on a wide range of unique products. Think handmade crafts, vintage clothing, antiques and collectibles, artisan eats and bakes and lots more.
Then there will be food trucks serving up popular handhelds, classic comfort foods, and sweet treats. And because no cool hang is ever complete without a good cold one, you can sip craft beers and wines from local breweries and distilleries.
The best part is that while you shop, eat, drink, and have fun, there will also be live music to keep you entertained. In support of the local arts, the market will see performances by talented local musicians.
And no, they haven’t forgotten the little ones. The market also boasts several family-friendly activities to keep the kiddos just as busy as the rest of us.
Of course, there is free public seating, so you can spend all the time you want, chill with your buds, connect with your community and have a darn good time!
