This Ontario-based ramen shop is opening its first Toronto location & here’s where

Guelph-based Crafty Ramen has its eyes set on Toronto and will be expanding with its first location in the city.

The noodle shop will open at 217 Ossington Avenue, bringing its “unique take on classic ramen” and its at-home ramen meal kits to Toronto this March.

“A bowl of ramen is more than a meal — it’s an experience of comfort and connection that lives at the heart of everything we do at Crafty Ramen,” said Miki Ferrall, Crafty Ramen co-founder and VP of operations.

“We opened Crafty to create a space that feels like ‘home,’ where people can unwind and share their day over something warm and familiar. We’re so excited to continue to grow our community and make Toronto our newest home.”

As for the space, it’s a small, intimate space that serves as an homage to the shops’ co-founder, Miki grew up with in Japan.

Diners will be able to sit along the bar and have a full view of the open kitchen. All are encouraged to watch and learn the techniques that make the dining experience a memorable one.

Two of their walls are covered with Japanese pop culture collages, and another is designed to recreate the feeling of an open-air ramen stall. It features an awning overhanging the seating area and a mural hand painted by a local artist, per a release.

“Every aspect of the design sets the tone for a space alive with fun, care, creativity, and appreciation for the full ramen experience,” according to the restaurant.

There will also be a mini-market at the front of the shop featuring locally sourced Asian-inspired products and Crafty Ramen’s own make-at-home meals and sauces.

They will also have a new frozen ramen product launching in the coming weeks that can be found in the market.

Though they’re new to the city, according to the restaurant, they’re a pretty well-known ramen spot, recently having been named one of Canada’s Top Growing Companies and landing a deal on CBC’s Dragons’ Den.

Mark your calendars cause this new shop is opening on March 16th!
