A new basketball-themed bar with $6 beers & stadium eats just opened in Vancouver

Basketball lovers – Vancouver finally has a designated bar for you. Shaking things up in the world of hockey-focused pubs is Courtside Bar in Mount Pleasant, a one-stop destination for great brews, company, and all things basketball.

The new spot just soft-opened this past weekend, welcoming guests with an array of stadium eats like loaded nachos and currywurst, as well as a slew of burgers, hot dogs, wings, ribs, and more. As for what’s pouring? There are plenty of cocktails, wines, and local craft beer to go around.

Both on and off the menu, Courtside is already living up to its name. The walls are lined with NBA and WNBA jerseys and mementos, offering visitors a front-row seat to not only the games – but to the world of basketball as a whole.

“When we walk through a tall doorway, we jump and touch it. When we throw a can in the recycling, we say ‘Kobe.’ And if we miss, we walk it back and shoot again,” says its website. “Basketball is the greatest game because it is welcoming, and that’s the spirit of the game that Courtside will embody.”
