After a long hiatus, Cirque du Soleil is finally bringing its iconic Big Top back to Toronto for a breathtaking performance. The city will be treated to Cirque du Soleil’s most critically acclaimed show, called KURIOS — Cabinet of Curiosities.

The performers will take the stage at Ontario Place on April 14, 2022, for a limited series of shows that combine acrobatics with art, poetry, and humour.

“A mind-boggling escape from reality, KURIOS unveils a festive, steampunk-inspired universe where the unexpected lies at every corner,” the description says. It debuted in Toronto in 2014 and has received tons of rave reviews since.

KURIOS is also returning to different cities around the world next spring, including Milan and Rome.

Tickets to the “enthralling, over-the-top magical show” will go on sale on December 3rd. After the pandemic put a year-long pause on live entertainment in Toronto, seats are sure to fill up quickly for this popular performance.

Cirque du Soleil isn’t the only iconic show gracing the stage here in Toronto. The holiday season favourite Nutcracker ballet will be running again this December and the enchanting Harry Potter and the Cursed Child show will make its spectacular premiere at the Mirvish Theatre in 2022.

With all capacity limits now removed in Ontario and life returning back to normal, it’s so good to see the city back to its old self again.
