This Capitol Hill spot is transforming into a vintage Christmas pop-up bar

Get ready to unwrap the ultimate holiday experience at Christmas Dive Bar (CDB), a festive pop-up dive bar nestled in the heart of Capitol Hill. It’s an immersive holiday escape and watering hole that brings the laid-back charm of a dive bar together with the festive spirit of Christmas.

The holiday wonderland is located at The Woods and comes from Joey Burgess and Murf Hall, the dynamic owners of Capitol Hill establishments like Elliott Bay Book Co., Oddfellows/Little Oddfellows, Queer/Bar, and Cuff Complex.

The duo has created a world where thousands of bows create the perfect backdrop for photos, twinkly lights illuminate the space, and holiday decor abounds.

Some of the over-the-top decorations include overscale ornaments and colored light strings wrapped in tinselly garland. The bar is adorned with jingle bells, classic blow molds, and vintage decor, creating the perfect holiday vibe. Vintage chandeliers hung with ornaments, walls covered in rolls of festive wrapping paper, and faux fireplaces radiate warmth.

As you ascend the “ice cavern stairs”, you’ll enter the Chug & Cheers Chalet – a cozy retreat with flickering lanterns, faux fur hides, and icicle lights. This space has been meticulously crafted with pieces from the duo’s personal collection of vintage holiday decor to feel like a second home for the holidays.

Of course, you can enjoy the ambiance with a curation of delightful Christmas cocktails like Cranberry Collins and Eggnog Espresso Martinis. There will also be snacks like Crockpot Little Smokies and Cherry’s Xmas Chex Mix. What’s not to love?
