Chick-fil-A’s new Queen St West location is about to open & they’re hiring

The chicken sandwich chain that made a splash in Toronto back in 2019 is gearing up to open its third location in the city. Chick-fil-A will open its doors at Queen St. West and Spadina Ave in early February, according to job posts for the new restaurant.

It looks like Chick-fil-A  is on a mission to staff up its new restaurant ahead of the grand opening, even hanging a banner out front encouraging people to apply.

Some of the open roles include Kitchen Team Member, Front of House Operations Manager, Kitchen Shift Coordinator, and Front of House Team Member.

As for the perks, Chick-fil-A employees will get a free meal every shift, a healthcare savings account, life insurance, competitive pay, and more. Most importantly, though, all staff get Sundays off.

The chain opened its first restaurant in Kitchener in August, where some eager customers reportedly camped out overnight to be the first ones inside.

However, eager customers were not the only ones who showed up to Chick-fil-A’s grand opening. Protestors arrived to call attention to the company’s history of supporting anti-LGBTQ organizations. Similar demonstrations took place on the opening day of Toronto’s first Chick-fil-A in 2019.

Despite the pushback, the chain continues to move forward on its expansion across Canada. Chick-fil-A also opened a restaurant in Scarborough last summer and plans to open 20 more locations all over the country by 2025.
