Chick-fil-A is opening its first three restaurants in Alberta & here’s where

Are you a self-proclaimed foodie with an itch that only waffle fries can scratch? We’ve got some wildly tasty news!

Chick-fil-A has unveiled that they will be opening three new restaurants in Alberta as part of their big Canadian expansion and we can’t wait to sink our teeth into their signature sauce.

From their mac and cheese and crispy frites to their strips, nuggets and sandwiches, Chick-fil-A is beloved by hungry Americans from coast to coast, and now it’s our turn to indulge!

According to the company, construction will begin this month at West Edmonton Mall with plans to open by late summer 2024, while shovels will hit the ground in South Edmonton Common and on Macleod Trail, Calgary later this spring.

Excited? Consider yourselves super lucky!

Not only will these three locations be among the first to open outside Ontario since Chick-fil-A first began serving hungry Canadians in Toronto four years ago, but this particular launch is only the beginning!

Between now and 2030, the chain hopes to open up to 20 locations across the entire province – so get ready and stay ready, Alberta!

“Chick-fil-A’s expansion into Alberta will have a positive impact on our economy in the region by creating jobs and new entrepreneurial opportunities throughout the province,” said Rick Christiaanse, CEO of Invest Alberta.

“Alberta is one of the best places in Canada to do business. We have a talented workforce filled with big thinkers across many different industries. Chick-fil-A is a perfect fit for our rapidly growing and diverse region.”

As always, we’ll keep you updated as more information rolls in so stay tuned.

It’s going to be major and you definitely won’t want to miss out.

Happy eating, Alberta!
