Ontario has a secret winery & brewery trail along a beautiful coast

It’s not too late for an outdoor adventure! If you’re looking for an excuse to explore and enjoy delicious sips while you’re at it, then you have to check out the Cheers to the Coast Trail.

When it comes to wine regions in Ontario, most people think of Niagara and Prince Edward County.

But, what if we told you that there’s a lesser-known craft beverage region that overlooks Ontario’s breathtaking Blue Coast?

Located in Lambton County in beautiful southwestern Ontario, the Cheers to the Coast Trail is quickly becoming a major player in our province’s craft beverage scene.

And if you haven’t heard of the Blue Coast, you’re in for a treat.

It’s the region where Lake Huron rushes into the St. Clair River and is known as Blue Water Land for the incredible aquamarine hue of the water and the internationally renowned Blue Flag beaches.

“Situated on the same latitudinal plain as Northern California, Ontario’s Blue Coast is home to a rapidly growing wine, beer, and cider scene with a laid-back coastal vibe you’ll love,” says Ontario’s Southwest.

Along the way, you’ll get to experience a variety of local makers of cider, mead, craft beer, and wine, all located in Sarnia and Grand Bend.

There’s so much more to explore in the area too, including incredible parks and waterfront trails, delicious eateries, funky shops, and cozy hotels to spend the night.

Ontario’s Lambton County has a Cheers to the Coast Trail map you can download, and you can also find a detailed breakdown of all the pit stops here.

So, while we still have some crisp and sunny autumn days to look forward to, you can stay warm by sipping your way along this trail.
