Here's where celebrities eat when they're in Calgary

Restaurants in Calgary are aplenty, but if you’re not sure where to dine this weekend, consider following the (Hollywood) North Star!
Everyone has at least one thing in common—we’ve all got to eat, but where do celebrities dine when they’re in the big city?
From cafes and coffee shops to cocktail bars, and tapas spots, here are just a few spots where you might run into an A-lister.
CHARCUT
Founded by Carrie Jackson and acclaimed chefs Connie DeSousa and John Jackson, CHARCUT has become a favourite among local diners and notable foodies – including Matty Matheson from The Bear.
“We’ve actually been friends with Matty for a long time,” DeSousa told Curiocity, adding that they met at a charity event 15 years ago.
“I’m so proud of his career and what he’s done for the industry… but he hasn’t changed, he’s still so down to earth and hilarious, and still loves all the ‘chefy’ things that we still love.”
While in Calgary for his recent book tour, the star stopped in for a bite to eat at the restaurant.
“He shouted out to everyone in the audience [at Wordfest] that he was craving a steak and that he wanted to hit up CHARCUT.”
“He had a small gap in his schedule and because it was so quick, we knew he wouldn’t have time to order off the menu, so we decided to cook him a couple steaks. We prepared for him a 20 oz New York strip steak and then a 45 oz ribeye.”

“The first time he came in, we were like, is that him or not?” Ben Keleta, the owner of Aggüdo told Curiocity.
“He started to come every morning… We hesitated to ask him for a photo, and the photo that we posted with all of us together was taken on the last time he was there. He mentioned that he was not going to come back because he was done filming, so we took a selfie.”
