Our city has no shortage of incredible eateries, bars, and cafes but few have gotten as much celebrity attention as Model Milk on 17th Avenue in Calgary.

Serving a delightful selection of comfort food, classics, and innovative items – this inner-city restaurant has become quite the magnet for recognizable visitors – and rightfully so!

Here, hungry folk can indulge in everything from burgers, ribeye, and grits to insane desserts like their apple pie – plus their space is insanely unique with industrial details and an impressively stocked bar.

For this reason – and many more, it has been enjoyed recently by a laundry list of legends including Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Dominic Monaghan, and Billy Boyd from The Lord Of The Rings (pictured at the resto above) – and Daisy Edgar Jones, who gushed about it on The Late Late Show With James Corden.

“It’s THE place,” she told Corden and co-guest Pedro Pascal when asked about filming her new show Under The Banner of Heaven in Alberta.

These, of course, are the only confirmed sightings we’ve caught recently – but we can imagine that the list goes on; and as Calgary continues to gain popularity in the entertainment world, we’re sure that it’s just a matter of time until there’s more.

Keep your eyes open, Calgary – looks like we’ve got ourselves a celebrity hotspot!
