Hollywood North is hard at work, with film sets dotted all around the city this summer. So it’s not surprising that a mix of actors, performing artists, and public figures alike have been spotted around town, and we’re here to share a handful of restaurants they’ve been dining at.
So with that in mind, here are the Vancouver restaurants where celebrities are dining this summer (so far).
Cioppino’s is a celebrity hotspot in and of itself, and for very good reason. The Mediterranean-Italian eatery has numerous accolades under its belt as well as multiple menus for groups and special occasions, attracting the likes of Jason Momoa, Drake, and most recently, the one-and-only Pedro Pascal.
Where: 1133 Hamilton Street
The Last of Us is in town for the filming of Season 2, which means the cast is often out and about when the cameras are off. Danny Ramirez and Gabriel Luna are just two stars who were out on the town this past weekend, tuned into the Copa America final at Vancouver’s Shark Club.
While the team he and Luna rooted for lost the match, the pair is pictured celebrating during Shakira’s performance at the halftime show nonetheless.
Where: 180 West Georgia Street
While production is still keeping things largely under wraps, Owen Wilson is in Metro Vancouver filming a new 10-episode ‘golf comedy’ for Apple TV+ – which means regular visits to local restaurants.
On Monday, July 8th, Mexican restaurant Maizal hosted Wilson, known for its delicious street food inspired by the flavours of Mexico City.
Where: 2815 Main Street
The cast of The Last of Us was spotted dining at Michelin-recognized Zarak on Main Street (minus Pedro Pascal), revered for its modern Afghan dishes inspired by traditional recipes.
However, it’s Owen Wilson who was most recently spotted here! The famed actor is pictured at the restaurant on Monday, July 15th.
Where: 2102 Main Street
Rolling Stones legend Mick Jagger himself dined at Vij’s rooftop patio, after performing alongside the rest of the iconic rock band earlier that weekend. Known for its award-winning Indian fusion cuisine, we’re sure this won’t be the last time a massive star visits!
Where: 3106 Cambie Street
So there you have it, foodies. These are the Vancouver restaurants celebrities have been dining at this summer.
Stay tuned for where the stars in the city go next!
