A new Italian concept has opened in West Van with happy hour deals and market treats

Who’s ready for an authentic Italian experience without leaving Vancouver? We know we are! The spirit (and cuisine) of the Italian community has officially arrived at Marine Drive in the form of a new restaurant-café-shop. That’s right, three destinations in one. It doesn’t get more Italian than that!

The team that brought us the Italian bakery-café Sciué in 2005 is expanding the original concept to capture the essence of the traditional Italian town square. A place where neighbours can meet up and share espresso drinks and fresh pastries, and even pick up local ingredients for dinner on their way home.

Led by Italian-born Managing Partner Maela Lovisetto, Casa Mia is a celebration of all the simple pleasures in life. Great coffee (and wine), good conversation, and delicious meals to be enjoyed with friends and family.

Head to the Cucina for a hearty breakfast Panino, or one of their many lunch and dinnertime specialties. Enjoy a classic pasta dish like the Bolognese pasta or Cacio e Pepe, or any of their pizza offerings, from Margherita to Funghi with rosemary toasted mushrooms and Puttanesca. If neither pasta nor pizza is doing it for you, there are a ton of other mains to choose from!

In addition to all-day gelato specials, Casa Mia has an ‘Aperitivo Hour’ from 3 to 5 pm every day with discounts on select appetizers, Italian wine, pizza, cocktails, and more.

Ciao for now, Vancouver! We’ll see you at Casa Mia.
