Western Canada’s largest patio & a frozen bar: Edmonton’s Ice District just got way cooler

Rogers Place has just levelled up, in a BIG way, Oilers fans! This hockey season (and beyond) you have to check out The Canadian Icehouse and The Banquet Bar in Edmonton, two new bars that will change the way you eat, drink or party pre and post-game.

Open in the city’s Ice District, The Banquet Bar and the Icehouse are not to be missed, and here’s the rundown.

ICEHOUSE

Featuring the largest jumbotron, Subzero Vodka Ice Room, hockey simulator and rooftop patio in Western Canada, the Rogers Icehouse is now the Flagship location for its sister spot, Canadian Brewhouse.

Here, the sports coverage is wall-to-wall and the food and drink specials will be offered daily, plus – they’ll also host various live events and entertainment.

As if that wasn’t incredible enough – their Belvedere Ice Room is described as an ‘immersive experience’ where guests can indulge in unique vodka samples and will be encouraged to hang ten on their rooftop patio which has top-of-the-line batting cages and fire tables.

THE BANQUET BAR

With a bowling alley, ping pong tables and shuffleboard – this upscale dive-bar-themed spot, is where those who enjoy duelling piano events, games and comedy shows are encouraged to check out.

In addition to their life-sized Price Is Right wheel, daily specials and ‘hipster chic’ vibe, The Banquet Bar will give people the opportunity to win prizes and compete for trips and more.

If you’d like to hit up either bar, The Canadian Icehouse and The Banquet Bar will be open until 2 am 7 nights a week, with kids allowed until 9 pm.

There’s really no spot quite like Rogers Places, friends.

You’re going to have a hell of a time!
