Canada’s Wonderland unveils new boomerang waterslide with ‘zero-gravity wall’

Something exciting is coming to our favourite theme park. Canada’s Wonderland has unveiled its latest attraction, a gravity-defying boomerang raft waterslide called Moosehorn Falls.

Coming to the 20-acre SplashWorks waterpark next summer, Moosehorn Falls will take you on an epic thrill ride with twists, turns, and drops.

The rafts, which can fit up to six people, will propel through a rushing river cascade and a 42-foot “zero-gravity wall.”

“As rafters crest the vertical apex in a moment of weightlessness, the current will reverse and send them downstream to a crystal-clear pool where their journey ends with a breathtaking splash,” says a description of the new waterslide.

The ride is actually inspired by Canadian wilderness, specifically the waterfalls on the Broad River along the Moosehorn Trail in Fundy National Park, New Brunswick.

If you’ve daydreamed about braving the falls and rapids of Canada’s wild waters, this new attraction is the next best thing.

Last spring, Canada’s Wonderland introduced a new cliff-jumping attraction to the waterpark called Mountain Bay Cliffs.

Right now, visitors can experience the all-new spin ride, called Tundra Twister, which just celebrated its grand opening in June.

It’s described as a “giant 360-degree spinning swing ride” and it is the “only one of its kind in the world,” the theme park says.

The ride has guests “spinning, twisting and twirling upside-down at heights of 47 metres (154 feet) and speeds of 75 km/h.”

Canada’s premier amusement park never fails to give us something new and exciting to look forward to.

So, are you up for the challenge, ride warriors? You have one year to work up the nerve and give Moosehorn Falls a try!
