Whether you’re trying to work a visit into your next summer vacation, or seeing if you can sneak out during the shoulder season, this list is a who’s who of the best places in Canada to swing the sticks.

The ranking comes from SCOREGolf, which has been putting it out for over three decades. Picking destinations from all over the country, the list features spectacular golf courses from coast to coast. We’ve rounded up the top 5 for you, but we’ve also decided to highlight a couple more interesting picks!

First up, the top 5:

  1. Cabot Cliffs, N.L.
  2. Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, Alta.
  3. Cabot Links, N.L.
  4. Fairmont Banff Springs, Alta.
  5. Cape Breton Highland Links, N.S.

As always, it was the mountain courses of Alberta and the seaside courses of the Maritimes that earned the top spot. We say fair enough, but we’re also interested in some of the other spots on this list. For example, the cheapest course on the list is Tarandowah, which is located in Avon, Ontario and only costs $67.80 for a tee time.

Meanwhile, the second cheapest course is actually located in Saskatchewan. Located in Waskesiu Lake, the Waskesiu golf course only costs $68 to get out to.

Our advice? Check out the list of Canada’s best public golf courses in full and start planning your next golf adventure! Your next great tee time might only be a short drive away.
