Calgary's 'Frozen Fairways' hockey-themed mini putt pops up this weekend

Well well well… if it isn’t the combination of two of our favourite pastimes. CF Chinook Centre has unveiled its newest activity for shoppers, called Frozen Fairways. This weekend-only event brings together hockey and mini putt in a fun new way.
Running through the next few days, Frozen Fairways is a 9-hole mini putt course, but in a slightly different format. Instead of the usual, greens have been replaced by artificial ice, putters with hockey sticks, and balls with pucks!

The experience costs $5 per person, which will be matched by Cadillac Fairview and donated to a local charity in Calgary. Heads up- in order to check this out, you’ll need to reserve a spot online, so make sure to do that before you head down there.
But other than that, go enjoy this uniquely Canadian take on mini putt! Nothing like a little breather in between getting some holiday shopping done, don’t you think?
