GO ON A DATE, WITHOUT LEAVING THE HOUSE!

Over the last few months, we’ve developed a deeper attachment to our sweatpants than we’d like to admit. Thanks to COVID, and now the colder weather rolling in, we think it’s safe to say that most of you would prefer to stay in! Check out our guide above for some exciting date ideas that don’t even require you to brush your hair!

SKATE AT OLYMPIC PLAZA

To no surprise, Olympic Plaza was the first outdoor rink to open this winter. This Calgary rink is magical, and that has a lot to do with the love that the city has put into making it an experience. O.P. is a YYC favourite, and it has everything to do with the surrounding Christmas lights and the “city-alive” downtown atmosphere. This one also gets bonus points for the skate rental hut on site.

When: Currently open
Where: Olympic Plaza, 228 8 Ave SE
Time: 6 AM – 11 PM
Cost: Free
